Welcome to Beeches Farm Bed and Breakfast. Beeches Farm is a smallholding set in the idyllic Blackdown Hills which are a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The farm and farmhouse are surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside in all directions. Originally built in 1824, The Farmhouse has been lovingly restored whilst retaining as many original period features as possible. The timber floor and beams in the lounge and stone walls are exposed on the inside, creating an environment that is lovely and cool in summer but warm and snug in winter. Gaze out of your bedroom window and enjoy the fabulous views. Watch the sheep and horses peacefully grazing in the fields surrounding the farmhouse, or simply sit and watch the time go by!!!
The spacious accommodation offers 1 double and 1 twin/double room both of which enjoy the benefit of en-suite bathrooms. The sitting room has an inglenook fireplace as a lovely central feature, which comes complete with a wood burning stove. There is also the benefit of oil fired central heating for those chillier spring/autumn evenings. The Farmhouse is ideal for families with children (although may not be ideal for toddlers due to a step down into the kitchen) and pets wanting to relax and unwind, friends to spend a holiday together, or for a family get together/celebration. Children will love Beeches Farm, with the ponies, sheep, ducks and chickens, all who are very friendly and love to meet new friends. Guests staying at Beeches Farm enjoy the flexibility of access to the whole house which you can make your home for your stay. You are very welcome to use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own meal if you wish, or alternatively make use of Jill, your host who is a qualified chef specialising in special diets and gluten/wheat and dairy free baking! Your hosts live in the annexe so are never far away to offer you any assistance that may be required.
The Farmhouse has its own private garden, which is overlooked by the magnificent Beech Tree which gives “Beeches Farm” its name and also has a patio area with tables and chairs and a BBQ - perfect for those long, lazy summer evenings.
